Jennifer Frank Tantia is a PhD candidate, and board-certified Dance/movement Therapist, licensed in Creative Arts Therapy in New York. Clinical background includes treating populations such as substance abuse, geriatrics, HIV/AIDS and in-patient psychiatry, where she pioneered dance/movement therapy in the psychiatric emergency room at Jamaica Hospital, NY.

Currently, Jennifer serves on the faculty of both Pratt Institute and  Adelphi University, and is the Program Director of the NY State Chapter of the American Dance Therapy Association. Jennifer works with individuals in private practice and leads Authentic Movement groups while completing her Ph.D. in Somatic Psychology at The Chicago School for Professional Psychology.

Her dissertation topic is therapists' embodied recognition of intuitive knowledge while in the clinical setting.
